Most bands adopt the “devil” moniker. The Devil’s Twins came into it in a more traditional sense — not through evil or the occult, but simply because the Devil is their dad.

Gripped by the Devil’s music at a young age, Nicole Marie and Jeremiah John — aka The Devil’s Twins — took a liking to their dad’s stash of blues, jazz, soul and rock ’n’ roll records.

Entranced by the sounds of Billie Holiday, Robert Johnson and AC/DC, the Twins pined at the prospect of following in their footsteps. Souls in tow, they went to their dad for help — but despite their plea, he refused to sign them, citing a “conflict of interest.”

So the Twins spent the next decade-plus spreading their own gospel.

Best described as noir-punk, The Devil’s Twins built their reputation in the Boston underground with fiery live performances alongside the likes of Slash, Slaine, July Talk, Local H and The Misfits.

Along the way came 11 Boston Music Awards nominations, two wins — including Rock Artist of the Year — and a devoted cult of followers known as the 2crew, many branded with matching “2” tattoos taken from the band’s logo.

Eventually, Dad decided they’d earned their HORNS.

Released in 2023, the band’s third full-length album brought saxophonist Aitan Ben-Joseph and trumpeter Eric Ortiz into the fold, pushing The Devil’s Twins deeper into their collision of rock ’n’ roll, soul, punk and noir.

Now Nicole and Jeremiah return alongside Ben-Joseph and drummer Armin Bushi with a new five-song EP.

And yes, after all this time, The Devil’s Twins are Still Soulless.

Arriving 11.13.26 — Friday the 13th, Still Soulless opens the next chapter with four new originals and the band’s take on Silversun Pickups’ “Panic Switch,” available digitally and on 12" vinyl and CD.

Despite their sinister lineage, The Devil’s Twins remain driven by the belief that every person has the potential to be a force for good.

Even if your dad is the Devil.
